Mental Health Referral

If you're a medical provider or any type of mental health care worker, you can refer a patient to PsychConnect. We can provide immediate access to mental health services by reaching out to the referral and setting them up with the appropriate appointment type with a qualified counselor, NP, or Psychiatrist. This allows for continuity of care and a quick appointment turnaround time without the worry of having your patient need to find a qualified mental health provider in their area. Once seen our providers can provide the appropriate level of treatment, which can range from counseling to medication prescriptions, and the patient will have an ongoing care team to ensure the best possible outcomes. PsychConnect does not prescribe any controlled medications for patients seeking services in their home. Controlled medications include Benzodiazepines, Stimulants and Opioids.

If you refer a patient, within 24 - 48 business hours a PsychConnect representative will reach out to you for additional info to make sure they are matched to a clinician who is best able to meet their needs. A release of records form will be provided so background information can be gathered and the appropriate provider will be scheduled directly with the patient. PsychConnect provides services outside of business hours and on weekends to ensure the referred patient is able to see a provider at a time that fits their schedule. PsychConnect online counseling and medication services are not designed for psychiatric emergency. If you believe the patient is in a psychiatric emergency call 911 or refer them to the nearest Emergency Room.

Once the patient has completed their initial appointment the clinician will schedule future appointments with them directly. Information can also be provided to the referring health professional if a release of information is provided to PsychConnect by the patients. The patient and the clinician will determine the frequency and duration of future clinical appointments.
